Registration and payment are due before the season starts in April.

All players must register online with both the Adelaide Uni Sports Association (AUSA) and the Football Federation of Australia (FFA).  You must pay your fees as part of registering with the AUSA.

For new players, fees will cover club shorts and socks.ddd

  • Adelaide University Students: $292
  • Non-students: $380
  • Non-playing Coaches/Managers: $22 (reimbursed by the Whites)

If you cannot afford to pay the entire fee, speak to your coach or a committee member ASAP.  You must at least purchase the “AU Sport Membership”, which is free for students.

AUSA Registration

Follow these steps to register with the AUSA and pay your fees for the season. The “AU Sport Membership” below provides you with insurance, covering any injury.

  1. Go the AUSA Soccer Page.
  2. Click on [Join or Renew] at the right of the page.
  3. If you do not have an account, click on “Create an Account” and follow the prompts.
  4. Otherwise, sign in.  If you are taken to the “Recover Password” page, you need to create a new password.
  5. Once signed in, select “AUSC Collegiate MEN player membership” (or “AUSC nonplaying membership” for coaches/managers)
  6. Follow the prompts, filling out the Medical Form.
  7. If you are prompted to select an “AU Sport Membership”, select the appropriate option.  If you are a student, it will be free.  Add it to your cart.
  8. If you are NOT prompted to select an “AU Sport Membership”, it means you are currently covered, and will receive a renewal email when it runs out (annually).
  9. Follow the steps through to payment, choosing “Uni Whites” as your team.

FFA Registration

Follow these steps to register with the FFSA as a player.  Note that the site has changed this season

Go to the My Football Club Player Registration page and click Get Started.

If you have previously played for the Whites, or any other FFA club (including juniors), you already have an FFA number.  Click Sign In and follow the prompts.

Otherwise, create an account.

Please ensure your contact details including email and emergency contact are up to date.

IMPORTANT: If you are from overseas, for the section International Transfer Certificate:

  • DO NOT SELECT No – my last registration was overseas
  • Select I have never registered to play Football before

If you need help, ask Ian, Stuart, Alan, or the Facebook group.

Ignore any invoice you get from the FFSA. We will take care of this.

Congratulations to Adam Pedron for winning the Div 1B Best & Fairest for the third year in a row.  It’s a great achievement to win one, but three is just amazing.  He either needs to stop being so friendly with the referees, or give the A’s a crack!

Well done also to Daniel Ong who finished joint 4th in Div 1B on 14 pts.  While in Div 4, congrats to Rob Alberton and Saber Dini who finished joint 2nd (11pts) and joint 4th (10pts) respectively.

Aug 242016

Well done to Saber Dini and Stuart Smith who recently racked up half tonnes against Woodside and Mercedes respectively. That makes nine players hitting 50s this year.

Props also to Dan Aikin who will notch his 300th match (since 2003) next week .  If we could add all of his appearances B.W. (Before Website) he’s probably closer to 400.  To go alongside his longevity, Dan has also won a couple of league championships (2000-01), a cup (2012) and the A’s Best Player (2004) . Massive respect Face.

May 202016

Congrats to Collegiate Cup winner, former committee member and current C’s coach Kirsten Staff, who – despite the ignominy of having a girl’s name – managed to rack up 100 matches last cup round.

Someone write him a profile!

Apr 042016

Apologies to Darren Jones: who managed to slip under the radar.  Darren chalked up 50 matches on the last day of last season.  Well played!

And just so we don’t miss another one: right now we have Alex “The Greek” Tsirbas and Edward “Scissorhands” Mitchell on 49, and Matt “One Pass” Bate on 99.  Matt will hopefully not only get to triple figures next week, but will also pass his fellow former Black and film buff Richard “Superman” Harris, who is still stuck on 99.

There have been some changes to the coaching setup for season 2016:

  • Senior Coach: John Zinghini
  • Assistant Coach: Alan Evans
  • Interim C’s Coaches: Kirsten Staff and Patrick Reis Santos
  • D’s Coach: Steve Bresolin

Unfortunately Matt Hawyes will no longer be part of the coaching setup, and Harry Smith has also decided to step down from official commitments.  If there is anyone interested in taking on the C’s coaching role permanently, please talk to Mel or Harry.

The changes were explained at the Clubrooms on Thursday 24/3.  If you missed the meeting, or have any further questions, please talk to AUSC Chairman Chris Haralam, or Harry.
